Finals week

April 24, 2007 - 3:08 am No Comments

Its finals week at school, in my opinion its good, and bad. Its good because it marks the end of a long semester - riddled with boring lectures and taking naps during class. But also it means tests. Long tests. Loooonnnngggg tests.  Anyway I’m getting out of work early so I can do some last minute cramming. Not that it matters since its open book anyway. But its timed :/ The teacher said it would give us about 30 seconds per question. I’m not too worried though. The stuff we’re going over in that data communications class is really basic. I could probably still pass if I hadn’t bought the book.

What else could I write about to make this post seem longer?? maybe I should write about how awesome bluehost is, but then I would just sound like an advertisement. I should just say that its an awesome place to work.

Lots o’ stuff

I guess there’s a lot going on in the next few weeks ahead. Tomorrow, Friday, is the last day of training at my new awesome job at Bluehost. Then the week following I have two finals. During the summer I’m going to take an SQL course which will hopefully give me an edge over all the newbs out there. Anyway its late, and I have to getup early.

School :S

Since I probably don’t have an audience I am just going to complain about stuff that bothers me here.  There are a lot of classes I find very little interest in that I am forced to take in order to graduate. Take one of the classes I am currently enrolled in for example, METO 1010, or weather studies.

This has got to be the most boring stuff I have ever had to study. I’m sure its fascinating to somebody out there - its just not my cup of tea. On the last test I took I had to fill out a bubble sheet with about 100 different questions. and I’m always worried that the machine that reads the scantron will not detect that I filled a bubble in - so I go over all the bubbles about 3 times to make sure they are filled in all the way. Not that it matters since I usually miss a good deal of them. Maybe next time I’ll fill them in half way and see what happens.
